      The Delhi Police are all set to assist the civic bodies in the phase-wise demolition drive which is to start from today. IANS is in possession of a letter issued by South Delhi Municipal Corporation, which indicates a major drive against encroachment in the national capital. According to the information, in the first phase encroachment will be removed from Okhla. Delhi Police have been duly informed in this respect.

      The maximum temperature in Delhi on Sunday settled at 40.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, as the national capital continued to reel under heatwave conditions, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The minimum temperature in the national capital settled at 25.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the IMD said. Relative humidity oscillated between 62 per cent to 36 per cent. The weatherman has forecast partly cloudy skies in Delhi for Monday with the possibility of a dust storm and thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds with a speed of 40-50 kmph.

      New Delhi, April 29 (ANI): After 50 kilograms of Heroin was hauled from Delhi, Narcotics Control Bureau Chief SN Pradhan on April 29, said that it is one of the biggest seizures on the main land and said that investigation is underway. “The seizure of 50 kg of pure heroin was one of the biggest seizures on main land in the national capital. 50 kg of pure quality heroin could be very harmful to the country. There were preparations to manufacture more heroin and adulterate them to distribute it. This was not just a receiving network but also a distributing network,” he said.
